Giving Thanks

First of all, THANK YOU Rocket community for your gifts of service, baked goods, cases of waters & soda and the occasional snack size package of chips. #PfallPfreakOut2015 is finally in the books, and we will count it among our greatest accomplishments. "Godzilla El Nino" can't hold us down!

We're hearing that the kids were delighted with "Plan B" indoors. Mr. O'Connor even let us drag a couple of inflatable bounce houses into the cafeteria. And how about that Glow Dance Party?!? Mr. Bennett kept the kids entertained as The Mad Hatter, and Mr. Ewing had students in stitches in the Fortune Teller room. Give a big round of applause to our art teacher, Ms. Alyea, for the stunning and creative grade-level art debuted at this year's silent auction. They were phenomenal! A huge thank you to our tirelessly dedicated PPO team, teachers, HHS volunteers, parents and community members. Another giant shout out to our sister school, Merchison Elementary, that graciously donated tons of leftover candy & Halloween treats from their Mustang Round Up just the week before. It was truly a community effort making this Pfreak Out a success!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we're calling on your culinary talents once more. Each year, we send ~85 teachers & staff home with a baked or bought pastry for the holiday. It's a great way for our community to show gratitude, and ignite the spirit of Thanksgiving in our smallest of Rowe Lane Rockets! We still NEED ~60 more treats to fulfill this annual tradition. Please jump in! Have your neighbors over for a baking party or cookie swap, or perhaps a night in with your littles demonstrating the joys of baking and gifts of giving. Thank you for loving on our teachers!!
