Second Semester Underway

And....we're back!  Welcome to the downhill slide to Summer!  Yes, it's only January, but May will be here in a heartbeat.  Here's what we've been up to so far:

January:

Funds raised through PTO events pay for experiences like Science Fair Night! We love this evening of sharing and community in the pursuit of all things Science! This year, we doubled the budget for STEM, affording the opportunity for our kids to reach for the stars in a Planetarium!  The inertia bowling ball experience and bottle rockets were equally thrilling, right, Mr. O'Connor? ;)

Our teachers burn the midnight oil creating amazing learning opportunities, usually long before or after their "day jobs".  To give thanks, we warmed bellies & hearts with a Baked Potato Bar complete with all the fixin's, fruit, treats and drinks.  THANK YOU, Rocket Families for contributing.  It's the small things that make our educators feel warmly appreciated and valued.

Mr. O'Connor took a moment during January's awards assemblies to recognize the good work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and inspire Rocket Families to recognize our day off with acts of service.

Lastly, on Thursday January 28th @ 6pm, we descend upon Pump It Up in Round Rock for our second Spirit Night.  Come shake out the sillies with your friends & neighbors for a good cause!
